Campagnolo was the first of the integrated brake/shift levers to route both the brake and shift cables underneath the bar tape. Campy was also the only one to allow multiple gears to be “dumped” when shifting from the largest to smallest cogs. For 2015, the totally redesigned Chorus eleven-speed shifters continue the legacy of unique innovation. Chorus shifters still allow multiple up and down shifts, as many five cogs, so that you are always in the desired gear to match the road. The new Ergopower design uses Ultra-Shift ergonomics for three comfortable hand positions on the hoods, compared to two. Vari-Cushion hoods use a new natural silicone material with differentiated grip textures and densities for the ultimate in comfort and control. Using a carbon-fiber brake lever blade for light weight and maximum braking power, the new Chorus shifters are strikingly beautiful- a hallmark of all Campy components. Blending traditional Italian style with technological innovation, performance and passion come together in an affordable package. With a weight of only 350gm for the pair, versus 342gm for the Super Record shifters, there’s a mere 8gm separating the two shifters- that’s approximately one small bite of an energy bar during your ride!
